The University is pleased to announce the organization of a scientific conference titled "Cold Plasma: An Essential Process in Thin Film Deposition and the Structuring of Materials at the Micrometric and Nanometric Scale," which will be led by Prof. Ahmed Rhallabi, a University Professor and recognized expert in microelectronics and VLSI technologies.

This conference will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, starting at 2:30 PM and will be broadcast online (webcast) from the incubator room. It will offer a deep scientific perspective on cold plasma processes, which are now at the heart of technological advances in the fields of materials and micro- and nanofabrication.

A graduate of the University of Nantes, Prof. Ahmed Rhallabi is head of the Modeling and Simulation of Plasma Processes Division at the Jean Rouxel Institute of Materials and deputy head of the Plasmas and Thin Films team (PCM). As the author and co-author of numerous international scientific publications, he has also coordinated several industrial projects and developed extensive international collaborations.

This conference is aimed at students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and professionals interested in materials science, microelectronics, and cutting-edge technologies.
